A. Crit Gunners

Crit gunners are ridiculous damage dealers, all their skills are focused on DPS and having those nice purple crits or blue double hits popping up. With passives and skills that have crit damage and chance boosts, this build is just perfect for DGs.

PRAN - Make sure you get a FIRE pran. They have passive boosts to crit chance, damage and have damage based skills that help you with even more damage output.

SKILLS - Up to level 50

Tier 1 Skills:
Corrosive Round (Lvl 1/13) - [Cooldown: 6 sec / Casting: 1 sec / 32MP]
- Deals 10 physical damage and 49 additional damage after 3 seconds.

Poison Ivy (Lvl 1/12) - [Cooldown: 20 sec / Instant / 38MP]
- Roots your enemy for 3 seconds dealing 18 physical damage par second.

Quicksilver (Lvl 0/10)

.:Build Notes:.

Level 1 Hide, stuns and root just to get out of sticky situations. Reload is intended solely for reloading blackrose, which gives a huge increase to crit rate and damage - you'll only go for about 45 seconds without it active if you time it right our of 12 minutes, not bad at all.

Maelstrom is your bread and butter, it adds damage to every shot you take for 10 seconds, so a full auto or crossfire with crit and maelstrom gives damage for every partial hit it gives during the skill - deadly without a doubt.

This build will give you an almost 50% crit rate easily, with a pran, upwards of 70% and with enchants - even better. Its a formidable build without a doubt.

B. Evasion Gunner
Evasion gunners are ridiculously hard to hit, they dodge everything like they're ninjas and they're great for running around and having fun while dealing a still decent amount of damage. This builds still great for DGs.

PRAN - Make sure you get a Air pran. They have passive boosts to evasion and hp/mp and make you nigh impossible to take down easily in a 1v1 battle while being able to skill spam

.:Build Notes:.
Evasion guilds with air prans are godly, they can have up to around 80% evasion with a pran. Taking 1 out of 5 hits is without a doubt formidable, particularly with damage. 1 point goes into dash instead of hide because it only ADDS to your dodge rate while its active, immensely useful. The stuns roots etc are higher levels here because you don't want to get hit, this contributed to it.

Reload is more for skillspam here than everything, no specific skil that its used for. Foxglove is used in place of maelstrom because it does damage over time while also giving you the chance to run away more, they're slowed and are gimped chasing you.

C. Hybrid Gunner

The build I personally use for myself, and the build that I like best. Its the best of both worlds - and for a relatively minor decrease in DPS, you get the benefit of being hit far less.

PRAN - Take your pick from FIRE or AIR on what you value more. I personally prefer fire, because DPS is still my sorta thing.

.::Build Notes::.
You get the best of both worlds - with good equips and such you can have over 50% evasion and crit rate - you're be like a champ boxer, weaving and darting while punching them right where it hurts.

We gimped a few skills here of note, first Crossfire - its an AoE skill thats a huge mp drain, and I only use it for hitting hidden enemies. Evasion isn't a focus, so foxglove isn't needed either. Poison ivy, stealth and quicksilver is just to get our of sticky situations - so they're kept at basic levels. This build adapts very well to different situations and is what I'd recommend to experienced pvpers and flexible gamers.

D. Debuff Gunner
This build is solely meant to take advantage of the many debuffs the dual gunner has. This class is like an "Assasin" in other games, and as such has plenty of skills to annoy the hell out of other players. This is a PURELY PvP build, its a waste on PvE except for bosses, perhaps. An alternate name for this build would be the Party Build.

PRAN - Take your pick from Water or AIR on what you value more. I personally prefer Water, because the mana cost for this means I'll save money on pots, but evasion is good if you want to live longer.

Really a party build, this focuses heavily on debuffs. Not much to say, itws purely pvp so it should be used by skilled players that target well in parties that target well. I left in a few of the "run away" option to make you live longer and more effective at causing as much annoyance to the enemy as possible.

E. Skillspam Gunner

The build that kills your MP. I gimp some of the other builds for MP retention, but this is for going allout. Skills have high base damage, and even if you don't crit, you're a killer.

PRANS - Water. Without a doubt. Gets your defense up to skill spam more and more importantly, is all about MP amount and regeneration.

.::Build Notes::.
This guild is heavily reliant on reload and mp. You'll spend lots on pots , even with water pran - but for some its worth it. DG skills have high base damage and it'll be refreshed constantly. I considered puttign in Corrosive round instead of foxglove because it has short cooldowns and can be used in place of normal attack, but decided that foxglvoe would deal more overall damage.

Nothing much else to say - I didn't include much running options other than the stun and root, so be prepared to die if you follow it exactly. Also be prepared to stretch yoru fingers across the keyboard - this will take up a lot of slots. and require constant remapping to suit your needs.

F: PvE Gunner


Aika being a PvP-centric end-game product, I don't really intend on people using this for endgame. If you're going solely dungeon raiding endgame, I'm sure you'll make your own builds and it will probably vary greatly from this one. This build is for GRINDING - and you'll be PvP handicapped, only use it if you plan on never attacking other people while training. It takes the 1v1-king's full potential.

.::Build Notes::.


This build will make grinding as easy as possible. Lets talk about a lesser used skill - hotshot. Its a 10 minute self-buff that increases you damage, but KILLS your durability. Dual gunners already have the highest attack speed, and thus the highest and most frequent repair costs. This makes it even worse. I don't recommend this skill for PvP because you'll literally have to stop, go back, repair, and return during a raid. That aside, the damage it adds is quite nice, and when supplemented by maelstrom - its amazing damage output on PvE.

Reload is again here solely for the purpose of black rose cooldown. We want to be critting constantly, and reload is there for it. Black rose was taken over the passive due to its obviously much more significant crit chances, the pran helps significantly.

Heartbreaker is to stun lock - minimal damage to you - combined with black rose you'll have minimal hits on you.

Concussive shock and crossfire - we keep it at a low level. What I did this for is because this is the 1v1 king build, if another mob attacks you, use concussive on it. 10 second stun which gives you time to finish off the other guy PLUS a damage boost on the first hit to the second guy. When the first guy is about to die, use CROSSFIRE to get your damage started on the second, its all a smooth motion. (If you get attacked by three, you're screwed xP)

Side note: if you want to make a few quests easier, put one point into hide. Take it out from MAELSTROM (minimal damage loss) for this.

Side-side note: This build is great for dungeons and boss killing, you should be in a party so lack of evasion doesn't matter, and you'll be damaging more than most any other DG in the party.
